How leaked content spreads on Discord
Leak servers usually post previews in public or invite-only channels and link out to full sets on file hosts, cloud drives and leak websites. Files uploaded directly to Discord are also served from Discord’s own content network, which makes them reachable from outside the server.
Because servers are often private, removal works best from two directions: notices to Discord about the messages and attachments, and takedowns against every external link the server relies on.
What a Discord DMCA notice covers
Discord accepts copyright notices from copyright owners and their authorised agents. A notice we prepare includes:
- Message links and attachment URLs for each infringing post
- The server and channel where the content appears
- A description of your original work and where it is legitimately sold
- The good-faith and accuracy statements the DMCA requires
- Follow-up on repeat infringers and servers dedicated to leaks
Beyond Discord itself
We also remove the file-host links, Mega and Google Drive folders, Telegram channels and leak sites the server points to, and delist those pages from Google. That way the content is not just gone from one server but from the places people go next.
Protection for creators in the UK and USA
We are based in London and work for creators on both sides of the Atlantic. Copyright in your photos and videos exists automatically the moment you create them, in the UK under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and in the US under the Copyright Act. You do not need to register anything to send a takedown.
We send notices under the US DMCA to US-based hosts and search engines, and copyright notices under UK and EU rules where they apply. Where leaked content involves intimate images shared without consent, there are additional routes: the US TAKE IT DOWN Act requires covered platforms to remove reported non-consensual intimate images within 48 hours, and in the UK sharing intimate images without consent is a criminal offence.
Confidential from the first message
You never need to send us explicit material. Share your creator names and links, and we handle the rest discreetly.

Does Discord respond to DMCA takedown notices?
Yes. Discord has a copyright reporting process for owners and their authorised agents, and removes infringing content and can act against accounts and servers that repeatedly infringe.
Can I report a private Discord server?
Yes, if you or someone acting for you can provide links to the infringing messages. If you cannot access the server, we focus on the external links and sites the server distributes, which can still be removed.
Will the server owner see my details?
When we send the notice as your authorised agent, your personal contact details are kept out of it.
Can a whole leak server be shut down?
Discord decides on server removals, but a record of valid copyright notices against a server dedicated to leaks is the evidence that leads to it.
